The NPSA uses research and evidence to underpin its ongoing work and advice given. It has links with different research centres and runs an Annual Patient Safety Research Workshop to share ideas on the patient safety research agenda.
Patient Safety Research Workshop 2008
On 13th November 2008, the NPSA held its second annual UK Patient Safety Research Workshop: Patient Safety Research into Practice.
The workshop was attended by researchers, NHS staff and organisations with an interest in patient safety. It was chaired by Martin Fletcher, Chief Executive of the NPSA. Research centres had been invited to bring colleagues at varying levels to listen and participate in discussions.
