Data transparency

The Prime Minister, in a letter to his Cabinet colleagues, has made a number of commitments to greater data transparency in Government. 

In 2009 the Department of Health published the Business Expenses of its senior staff to support the transparency agenda.  Set out below is the Department of Health’s (DH) delivery of the Government’s latest commitments on transparency.

To support this, the National Patient Safety Agency has published the following information:


    • The names, grades, job titles and annual pay rates for senior staff pay and details, reflecting the position at March 2011.

  • Organisation chart, staff posts and workforce monitoring reports 

    • An organogram for the Agency which reflects the position as at March 2011.

    • Two datasets on posts, one of junior staff posts and one for senior staff posts established within the organisations structure.

    • Workforce monitoring reports

  • Payments within five days
    • Performance against paying supplier invoices within five days of receipt of a correctly rendered invoice.
  • Financial transactions over £25K
    • Details of all financial transactions over £25K per month
