We have grouped the artwork files into general themes. You can download a variety of file types to meet your needs. Use the tabs below to browse the materials available as artwork.

Files are provided in zipped jpeg or PDF format as appropriate. If you are unable to view the PDF files, please download Adobe Reader. To open zipped jpeg files you will require WinZip. If you do not have this on your computer, you can download a trial version from the WinZip website.

The posters are designed with a consistent look across the NHS in England. They are designed to deliver the campaign’s key messages and are supported with best practice guidance and facts. They can be replaced on a regular basis or used together as preferred. The artwork for the posters is supplied in both pdf and zipped jpeg format.

Patient poster

This poster is aimed at patients and service users to make them feel that it is ‘OK to ask’ their healthcare staff about hand hygiene.

Participation poster

The participation poster aims to enable trusts to show their support for the campaign in areas where the core posters might not be appropriate. It is aimed at both staff and patients/service users to show that the trust views hand hygiene as a priority.

Champion poster

This poster can be used to help raise the profile of hand hygiene champions or recognised staff members. This item is double sided with an ‘I do’ version on one side, and the ‘we do’ on the other.

The campaign provides a variety of leaflets and flyers to help inform staff, along with patients, service users and visitors, about the campaign.

Staff leaflets

This pocket sized leaflet provides healthcare staff with information on how and when to clean their hands and includes helpful diagrams. It can be used as part of training or at events to promote hand hygiene among staff.

Patient leaflets

These leaflets can be displayed in waiting areas and provide information for patients and service users about the cleanyourhands campaign. They are available in English, bilingually in English and Welsh as well as in the ten most commonly spoken languages in England and Wales. The text for the English and Welsh versions can also be found with the patient materials.

Credit card flyers

These credit card flyers highlight the crucial times for staff hand hygiene as well as best practice for use of alcohol handrub and soap and water. They can be used as a training resource or at staff events, or can be used as a reminder for staff at a missed hand hygiene opportunity. Versions have been created with images of patient/service user in a bed, chair, a stretcher and a child in a wheelchair.

Screensaver

The screensaver can be used within your trust to help promote the campaign and the importance of good hand hygiene to healthcare staff.

The screensaver can be downloaded as a zip file, and is available in both English and Welsh.

Floor vinyls

Three designs for floor vinyls have been produced. If you are considering producing these locally, we strongly recommend that you undertake a local risk assessment and consult with your facilities/estates lead prior to production.
