cleanyourhands is no longer an active campaign. This website will not be updated and will be maintained purely for archive purposes.

cleanyourhands is a program which aims to help the NHS in England and Wales achieve consistent, evidence based practice in hand hygiene. The objectives are to ensure staff in the NHS perform hand hygiene correctly at the right time in the right place and so contribute to preventing healthcare associated infections.

cleanyourhands facilitates local hand hygiene campaigns and supports NHS organisations in disseminating learning and behaviour change to all individual staff members.

cleanyourhands works closely with the Department of Health and other partners to ensure consistency of practice and the application of national and international evidence.

cleanyourhands resources

cleanyourhands has a large number of resources which can be used to run your local hand hygiene campaign. Currently resources are free of charge to registered NHS trusts in England and Wales.

If you are a cleanyourhands coordinator requiring campaign resources or further information, please log in using the box on the right and visit our resource area.

If you are not a coordinator and would like to find out who is registered for your organisation, please contact your infection control team.
